A 90-second introduction to Baseline Equity and the Tennis Chasm it addresses.
Baseline Equity
Infrastructure for the Tennis Chasm. A regulated fund that finances professional players ranked 150–600 through income participation agreements, while creating an investment platform for competitive players with genuine domain knowledge.
The Tennis Chasm
Professional tennis has a structural financing gap that no existing market mechanism addresses. Players ranked between 150 and 600 globally are professionally classified—they compete on the ATP and ITF circuits—but their prize money is insufficient for self-sustaining careers.
The annual costs of a professional career at this level are substantial: travel, coaching, physiotherapy, equipment, and entry fees collectively exceed what most players earn in prize money annually. The result is career attrition at the precise level where talent is most difficult to identify and most undercapitalized.
Players leave the sport not because they lack the capability to develop further, but because the financing infrastructure does not exist to sustain the development period. This is the Tennis Chasm.
Why Existing Solutions Fail
- •Academies and federations address only a fraction of players in this band
- •Sponsorships at this ranking tier are minimal and inconsistent
- •Fan engagement platforms (Socios, similar) offer utility tokens with no underlying financial contract and no genuine investment thesis
For Professional Players
If you are ranked between 150 and 600 globally and compete on the ATP or ITF circuits, you are eligible for an Income Participation Agreement with Baseline Equity. An IPA provides capital advance against your career income, calculated using actuarial projections and your ranking trajectory.

For Investors
Baseline Equity is designed for investors who understand competitive tennis and possess genuine domain knowledge of the game. If you play competitively, watch the professional tour closely, and understand court mechanics and competitive temperament, your expertise has value in identifying trajectory-positive players.
Investors participate through fund shares (standard equity participation in the diversified portfolio) and optionally through Player Allocation Units (PAUs), which allow you to weight your exposure toward specific players you identify as trajectory-positive.
