A word that lands differently than it was meant. A turn in the road that changes the direction of a life. The sudden knowledge that something is over, or beginning, or exactly right.

Coyote is the patron of those moments.

This card is not for the thresholds you see coming. It is for the ones that find you — the revelations that arrive before you have a framework for them, the spontaneous openings that do not wait for permission. It is a prayer for the capacity to receive what cannot be anticipated. To stay open enough, loose enough, present enough that when the unbidden thing arrives you do not miss it.

Carry it when you are in a period of unexpected change. When something keeps happening that you did not plan. When life is moving faster than your understanding of it. When you suspect something is trying to reach you and you want to make sure you are reachable.
