The Adversarial Margin

Measurement and Expansion

Stage 1 of 7

What Is Adversarial Margin?

The Gap Between Capacity and Constraints

Adversarial margin is the fundamental metric of performance under pressure. It is the gap between what a performer can do and what they must do.

Mathematically: Margin = Capacity - Constraints

Why This Matters

When margin is positive, the performer has room to organize coherent action. When margin approaches zero, the system enters constraint saturation. When margin is negative, the system collapses into noise and error.

This tour formalizes how to measure margin, what expands it, and how coaches, traders, and executives can use margin thinking to build resilient systems.
